Donohue & Associates and Evansville Water & Sewer Utility (EWSU) received a 2024 Engineering Excellence Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Indiana for the innovative Sunrise Pump Station project. Built in a popular park, project goals were functionality, aesthetic appeal, and value to the community. The result was a transformative, multifaceted pump station with a peak pumping capacity of 40 million gallons per day, diversion structures, variable speed controls, an emergency generator system, and automated controls.
To mark its 25th Anniversary, Donohue created a comprehensive corporate video to showcase its many client and employee offerings.
Donohue & Associates recently worked with the Holland Board of Public Works (HBPW) to construct an anaerobic digester at the Holland Area Water Reclamation Facility. HBPW is reaching capacity with its existing solids storage tanks while landfill fees were increasing and the quantity of solids accepted by the local landfill was decreasing. Donohue designed an anaerobic digester to resolve this issue. It provides a sustainable solution that will be of benefit to the Holland area. The project received an ENVISION Gold rating for sustainability.
